Hedge cutting is one of the core jobs at Barnard Greenworks. Hedges are cut back to a clean, even line along the top and sides, so they look sharp from the road and stop creeping over paths, drives and lawns. That's the finish to expect: level, square and swept clean.
When to book a hedge cut
Birds nest in hedges from spring right through summer, and active nests are protected by law. That makes late summer and autumn the best time for the main cut, with a lighter trim earlier in the year if a hedge is getting in the way. Most garden hedges look their best with a cut once or twice a year, while quick growers such as privet may need a little more.
